Birthday Parties in Oceanside
Four indoor axe throwing lanes, up to 16 throwers, and you are welcome to bring your own food and cake. Fully indoors on Oceanside Blvd, so the weather never changes the plan.
What a birthday booking actually includes
Every session opens with a safety briefing from a member of staff, and each lane gets a printed scoring guide so the group can keep score properly rather than just throwing. Staff stay on the floor throughout, so anyone who wants a pointer can ask.
To be clear about what this is not: we do not run coached sessions or provide a host who stays with your group. You get the lanes, the briefing, the scoring guide and staff nearby.
- Up to 16 throwers across four lanes, four per lane.
- Outside food and cake are welcome. No cake-cutting fee, no catering minimum.
- Ages 13 and up. Under 18s throw with a parent or guardian present.
- Closed-toe shoes required — no sandals or slides. Worth putting in the invite.
- Free parking on site at 1906 Oceanside Blvd, Ste UV.
Birthday party pricing
| When | Price per thrower | Lane time |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday – Wednesday | $25 | 60 minutes |
| Thursday – Sunday | $30 | 60 minutes |
One lane holds up to four throwers. Larger groups simply book more lanes. We are closed Mondays.
There is no separate room hire or party fee on a standard booking — you pay per thrower. If you want the place to yourselves, a whole-venue buyout is quoted individually and arranged by phone.
Teen and family birthdays
Chopscape is an alcohol-free venue, and the age floor is 13 rather than the 18 or 21 that many activity venues set. Between those two things, it works for a teenager's birthday in a way that most axe bars do not.
For a younger group, the practical limit is the age floor rather than anything else — a 13-year-old throws the same session an adult does, with the same briefing and the same supervision.
Tuesday birthdays: add line dancing
Tuesday nights we run beginner country line dance lessons at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm with a live instructor. One $15 ticket covers every lesson that night, and no partner is needed.
If the birthday lands on a Tuesday, a group can throw for an hour and then move onto the dance floor. It is also our cheaper night for throwing, at $25 a head.
Make it a bigger day with RageScape
RageScape is in the same building, Suite WX, running a rage room, a paint splatter room and an escape room. Groups booking attractions at both venues save 10% on the added attractions.
Please note: Chopscape and RageScape are separate businesses, each operated by its own company. You book, pay and sign waivers with each venue separately. The bundle discount is a promotional arrangement between the two businesses, not a single combined booking.
Birthday party questions
Can we bring our own cake to a birthday party?
Yes. Outside food and cake are welcome at Chopscape, and there is no cake-cutting fee or catering minimum. It is one of the reasons the lanes work well for birthdays.
How many people can come to a birthday party?
Up to 16 throwers across four lanes, with four people per lane. Larger groups rotate, or you can ask about a whole-venue buyout for exclusive use.
What is the minimum age for an axe throwing birthday?
13 and up. Throwers under 18 need a parent or guardian present. Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes and sign a waiver before throwing.
How much is a birthday party at Chopscape?
You pay per thrower: $25 Tuesday to Wednesday and $30 Thursday to Sunday, for a 60 minute lane. There is no separate party or room fee on a standard booking.
Do you serve alcohol at birthday parties?
No. Chopscape is an alcohol-free venue, which is part of why it works for teen and family birthdays.
How far ahead should we book a birthday party?
For a weekend, as far ahead as you can manage, because weekends fill first. Tuesday and Wednesday are quieter and cheaper and are usually available at shorter notice. We are closed Mondays.
